Super Moon

What's up? It was a pretty busy weekend for me. On Saturday a good friend of mine Jeff Jackson and I fished the annual Jaw Jackers tournament on Lake Brandt in Greensboro. We won this event a few years ago with 28 pounds so I was really looking forward to it. We caught them really good for about 45 minutes and then we could have left and went to Bojangles' cause we never had another bite. We ended up with 4 fish for 14 pounds and finished 4th. We caught our fish on a shallow running crankbait and a Dave's Tournament Tackle Spinnerbait.

On Sunday I fished the Yadkin 1 on 1 event at Lake Tillery. The fish were really biting good in practice but come tournament day it was a different story. I don't know if it was the wind or because of super moon but something was affecting them. I lost several fish through out the day and I normally don't loose them on a jig.
I ended up 3rd on the day with 5 for 11.60. Caught my fish on a Dave's Tournament Tackle 1/2oz flippin jig in green pumpkin.

I was also invited by FLW to work the spring fishing expo at the Wal-Mart in Randleman on Saturday afternoon and had a great time talking with several people about the local fishing. Fish are feeding up before they start to transition to the bank for the spawn. Try to get out if you can........
